GCG Completes MarineMax Facility in Time

Fort Myers-based GCG Construction, Inc., recently completed construction of the members’ lounge and dock master building at MarineMax Fort Myers Marina.

In addition to the new lounge and dock master supply store, which stocks an array of boating essentials, the fuel dock includes a high-efficiency pump that boasts four times the output speed of most fuel pumps. Also, Wi-Fi is now available across the entire property.

The project team included Hole Montes, Inc., GMA Architects & Planners, Hans Wilson & Associates, Select Structural and OCI Associates, Inc.

Elsewhere, MarineMax has hired GCG to coordinate the overall designbuild of its Sarasota marina at 1601 Ken Thompson Parkway.

Currently, GCG is working with MarineMax and city officials to obtain the government approvals needed to improve the facilities. If granted, they will allow for improvements consisting of boat rack replacements, a new restroom facility, shade pavilion, additional parking and a floating dock.

This is the fourth collaboration between GCG and MarineMax. It has also worked at MarineMax marinas in Naples, Fort Myers and Venice.
