At press time, Gates Construction was poised to break ground in Fort Myers on a new senior community from Medical Development Corp (MDC), a senior living development and management firm.
Located at 18301 Trifecta Lane, Canterfield will offer independent and assisted living as well as memory care. Phase 1 will feature a three-story, 115-unit apartment building for assisted living and memory care. Independent living units will be built in Phase 2, which will comprise a second apartment building and six one-story duplex residences. Various on-site amenities will include private and community dining rooms, multi-purpose rooms, an arts and crafts room, exercise room, library and a barber/beauty salon.
Canterfield is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2018.
