Theory Design’s VP of Design Ruta Menaghlazi has completed the preliminary interior design for Seagate Development Group’s new office building, now under construction at I-75 and Alico Road in Fort Myers. Totaling 13,000sf, the two-story structure fronts I-75 and has a lake behind it.
Menaghlazi worked directly with Joe McHarris of Bonita Springsbased McHarris Planning & Design to create both the building’s modern exterior and the interior spaces, which have been designed to accommodate the latest wireless technology.
Features of the interior include an elegantly appointed reception area with stone flooring, reverse soffit ceiling with LED backlighting, and walnut wood details. The first floor also will include three conference rooms, a large training room, and office space for Seagate’s construction team members.
Seagate’s executive offices will be on the second floor, and will feature 11-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, providing an abundance of natural light and views of the lake. A second-floor boardroom has been designed with reverse soffit ceiling detail with LED backlighting, a bar, and an outdoor balcony overlooking the lake.
A design studio, collaborative workspaces, and private offices also will be on the second floor. The collaborative spaces will be outfitted with large presentation screens and advanced technology, as well as areas for informal client meetings and presentations.
Construction of Seagate’s new office building is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
