Ave Maria Alumna Joins Henderson Franklin

Law firm Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt has hired Monique Lopez to join the tort, insurance and litigation department in their Fort Myers office.

Lopez has more than 20 years’ experience in the legal industry, beginning as a legal assistant in Henderson Frank­lin’s family law department and graduating from Ave Maria University in 2017.While at Ave Maria, Lopez earned the Dean’s Scholarship and an award for research, writing and advocacy. She also was associate editor of the Ave Maria Law Review.

Lopez now represents indi­viduals and insurance carriers involved in civil litigation, with an emphasis on construction defects, personal injury, and premises liability. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
