Mancaves, She-Sheds Coming to Island Storage

Developers Scott Allan and Tom Torgerson confirmed plans for a mancave- style addition to the highly popular Island Storage Suites. Combined, the two facilities will be 300,000sf and contain 140 units of mancaves and she-sheds, making it the largest mancave nationwide.

Construction on the six-building gated community began in 2023, with all 70 of the climate-controlled and customized suites scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. Suites range in size from 1,430 to 2,250sf with 20-foot-high ceilings and will be built as a finished shell with drywall and air conditioning. Owners may add an upper-level mezzanine and framed staircase with a wet bar and a half or full bathroom with a custom tile shower, colored epoxy floor and fan. Each unit features a 2,500-pound, 16-by-16 impact rated, panelized garage door and another entry door. There will be 12 units per building. Additional amenities include a car wash and green space for barbecues.

Prices for units range from $485,000 to more than $562,500.
