Commercial Real Estate Developer Randy Krise, owner of Krise Commercial Group, has broken ground on the multi-family, lifestyle development in midtown Fort Myers, near downtown.

Called Aldea, Italian for town or village, the project will consist of two separate residential buildings that look inward to multi-functional courtyard spaces. The 305-unit multifamily community features studio, one-and two-bedroom designs some with dens for home offices or remote workspace.

Amenities include a courtyard pool with fire pits and projection screen, a social community room, a fitness area, and a business lounge to expand remote office requirements. The project will also, have 30,000sf of commercial/retail space and a 540-space parking garage.

Inspired by the Midtown Fort Myers Integrated Redevelopment Plan Vision, a redevelopment strategy to engage the community in crafting a vision for the city, the 5.7-acre development is expected to transform the area bordering Fowler and Market Streets, and Central Avenue. The 243-acre midtown area was the intense focus of the city’s planning and visioning efforts.

Aldea is estimated to cost approximately $65 million and expected to be complete in the fall of 2024.The project team working with Krise includes: Dean Martin with TDM Engineering, and Ron Reitz with Studio 4 Architecture. Deangelis Diamond will be the general contractor.
