Babcock Ranch Charter School Now Open

DeAngelis Diamond has completed construction of the Babcock Neighborhood School at Babcock Ranch in Charlotte County, just in time for the new school year.

Totaling 48,000sf, the K-8 charter school will hold 500 students. It features flexible classrooms, work areas for project-based learning, moveable desks for easier collaboration and a large outdoor space complete with a playground, gardening space and halfcourt basketball.

The company built the project in partnership with the Florida Green Building Coalition to maximize sustainability. It was completed in seven months.
