The 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) has elected its 2019 board of directors. The non-profit group represents property owners and merchants in downtown Naples.
This year’s directors and officers are: Jeff Wynn (president), Christopher Shucart (vice president), David Gordley (treasurer), Jerrilyn Hoffmann, Nancy MacDonald and Joseph McCabe.
All of the 2018 board members retain their seats, while Jarred Kaplan fills a seventh seat. Kaplan is the managing partner of Provident Jewelry Naples and Fort Myers. The company has maintained a presence on 5th Avenue for more than 20 years.
In addition to promoting the avenue at large, the BID and its board make key decisions on behalf of nearly 250 businesses in the district. This year, a priority for the board is to re-establish 5th Avenue South as Naples’ historic main street and center of dining, fashion, home design, and arts and culture in the area.
The BID office is at 649 5th Avenue South. For more information, please call 239-692-8436 or visit https://www. fifthavenuesouth.com.
