Chris-Tel Construction Adds to Staff

Sean Smi ley has joined Chris- Tel Construction in Fort Myers as a project manager. Currently, he is overseeing construction of My Shower Door’s headquarters facility and the renovation of the Sanibel Library.

Smiley has worked on a wide variety of project types during his 10+ years in the construction industry, including healthcare, higher education, hospitality, residential, sports/recreation and retail. Most recently, he managed the construction of various buildings and structures at Moorings Park’s main campus in Naples.

Smiley graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in building construction management and is an ACI Compressive Strength Testing Technician. He also received his OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour certifications.

In other news, Chris-Tel was honored by Associated Builders and Contractors earlier this year, receiving its 2017 Excellence in Construction Award for Somero Enterprises Inc.’s 14,000sf headquarters and training facility. More than 100 people work from the facility, which includes a machine shop and the recently completed Somero Concrete Institute for training and certification classes.
