Construction Duo to Break Ground on Estero Retail Center
GCG Construction and Abel Construction Company are preparing to break ground on Estero Oaks Retail Center, a new 14,000sf neighborhood retail development located at 9995 Estero Oaks Drive in South Fort Myers.
The project is being developed through a partnership between principals of GCG Construction and Abel Construction Company and will be constructed on a 1.53-acre site within the larger 36-acre Estero Oaks mixed-use development. Designed to accommodate restaurant, retail, medical and service-oriented tenants, the center will feature flexible suite sizes ranging from approximately 1,600 to 2,160 square feet.
One of the project’s most significant milestones is that all major development approvals have been secured, including the development order and building permits, allowing construction to commence immediately following closing.
The property is strategically located near Florida Gulf Coast University and within close proximity to expanding residential communities, health care providers and major employment centers. Existing and planned uses within the broader Estero Oaks development include multifamily residential, self-storage, convenience retail and the Southwest Florida Proton Center, the Gulf Coast’s first proton beam therapy treatment facility.
Construction is expected to begin this summer, with leasing efforts currently underway.
