Wright Construction Group has begun building the Shoppes at Cypress Terrace, a 9,000sf shopping center in south Fort Myers. Upon completion, the center at 7001 Cypress Terrace, just south of Daniels Parkway and U.S. 41, will be home to six retail tenants.

Tide Dry Cleaning, a retail initiative created by the 65-year-old Tide laundry cleaning company, has leased two units. This will be just the fourth such Tide facility in the state and will include a 24-hour drive-through valet for dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up. To date, other tenants include Zoom Tan and an unnamed restaurant.

The new building is in one of Lee County’s busiest shopping and dining areas, with neighbors that include Target, Barnes & Noble, Costco Wholesale, and Bell Tower Shops.

“The Shoppes is in a perfect retail location during a great period of commercial retail growth in Lee County,” said David Valin, project manager. “The exciting thing for the owners is that half the space has already been leased, leaving three units available ranging from approximately 1,300 to more than 1,500 square feet each.”

NYFL Commercial Holdings LLC of Fort Myers, owner and developer, purchased the Cypress Terrace building in 2009. Real estate agent Chase Mayhugh of Mayhugh Realty, Inc., is the Realtor of record for the building.

Construction is scheduled for completion by May 30th with tenants expected to move in the following month. With offices in Lee and Charlotte counties,
