Construction Underway on Daniels Marketplace
SUITE TALK July 4, 2017 admin
Commercial developer S.J. Collins Enterprises recently broke ground on Daniels Marketplace, a 140,000sf mixed-use commercial project in south Fort Myers. Located at the northwest corner of Daniels Parkway and Ben C. Pratt/Six Mile Cypress Parkway, the center is expected to open next summer.
In addition to a 45,000sf Whole Foods Market, other new-to-market retailers will include Habit Burger, KeKe’s Breakfast Café, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, PetPeople and Zoes Kitchen. Thus far, the tenant mix also includes Banfield Pet Hospital, Felix Andrews Salon, Panera Bread and Venetian Nail Spa.
John Mounce, founding principal of LandQwest Commercial, represented S.J. Collins in the acquisition of the site. LandQwest is handling the leasing for the center.
“Daniels Marketplace is a game changer,” said Mounce, who assisted an almost two-year effort to find a suitable location for Whole Foods. “Whole Foods’ choice of a location is a seismic shift in the national perception that they must be along U.S. 41 or I-75 to succeed in Fort Myers.”
As part of the site’s development, S.J. Collins plans to provide open spaces, high-end architecture, native landscaping and a walkable environment that offers safe, convenient access to area bicyclists and pedestrians. The team will also relocate the existing lake on Daniels Parkway to provide a buffer between the center and its residential neighbors.
Tenant space at Daniels Marketplace is available from 2,800sf to more than 5,500sf. For leasing opportunities, please contact John Mounce or Jessica McEvoy with LandQwest at 239-275- 4922 or visit www.lqwest.com.
