GATES Construction has begun a multi-phase remodel at the Lee County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Fort Myers. The project involves 6,000sf of interior renovations to create more space for the EOC team.
Designed by BSSW Architects, the project will transform the existing storage space into two new conference rooms, expand the overall capacity of the break room, add a security access vestibule in the entryway corridor, renovate the emergency information hotline room and add a 200sf freezer. GATES also managed construction of the original 29,000sf facility, which was completed in December 2012.
Also in Fort Myers, GATES is building The Lock Up Self Storage facility at 12700 University Drive. When completed later this fall, the three-story, 106,016sf climate-controlled building will contain 849 storage units ranging from 5′ x 5′ to 10′ x 30.’
Partners in Design Architects provided the design.
