GCG Construction, Inc. has hired Jim Del Vecchio as project manager and Derrick Perry as project superintendent.
Del Vecchio has more than 30 years of construction leadership experience. During that time, he has led teams on ground-up projects of up to $186 million in urban, rural and seaside areas. Noteworthy projects include: the 275,000+sf expansion of the University of Maryland Medical Center; an eight-story, 192,000+sf research and development center for The Johns Hopkins Hospital; and a ground-up hotel, parking garage and convention center for DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
Perry has 20 years of experience in construction and more than a decade supervising a wide array of successful projects in Alaska. Among his most recent Alaskan builds are the museum, library, auditorium and ancillary buildings for the City of Cordova, construction of a $29.5 million, 56,800sf middle school in Valdez and housing in Dutch Harbor.
