GCM Contracting Begins Marco Marina Construction

GCM Contracting Solutions, Inc. (GCM), recently erected the walls for Rose Marina, a state-of-the-art boat storage facility under construction at 951 Bald Eagle Drive on Marco Island.

When completed, the 41,248sf dry stack facility will provide storage for 142 boats. To date, 80% of the available units have been rented. The marina will remain open to boaters and members throughout the construction process, which should be completed before the end of the year.

GCM is a construction and contracting company based in Fort Myers. Established in 1988 by Robert Brown, the company is best known for its tilt-wall and concrete, readi-mix, and architectural and structural design projects throughout Southwest Florida. Lee County projects include retail centers such as Miromar Outlets and Gulf Coast Town Center, as well as large-scale, single-building projects such as Miromar Design Center and Algenol Biofuels.

In other news, GCM was chosen to build the new Arcadia Rodeo Arena, which is slated for construction later this year. It is also working on a multi-project construction contract for Caliber Collision, which has buildings in Naples, Bonita Springs, Sarasota and Tampa.
