#getfried Fry Cafe, has opened its first Southwest Florida location at the University Village Shops in Estero. The quick-serve restaurant franchise offers a variety of topped French fries, fresh burgers and finger foods.
Unlike its fast-food counterparts, #getfried Fry Café›s offers four different styles of gourmet, topped French fries that can be personalized with more than 20 sauces, seasonings and protein options. In addition to its signature baskets like the 716, made with shredded chicken, buffalo sauce and blue cheese, #getfried also offers fresh-made, topped sirloin burgers, as well as other finger-food favorites such as pizza logs and chicken fingers.
The brand has significant ties to Southwest Florida. Most notably, founder and managing partner Chris Covelli spent four years at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he received a scholarship to play on the Division 1 golf team. Franchisees Mike Pica and J.P. Figaro are Southwest Florida residents. Pica owns the popular Mario’s Meat Market and Deli on U.S. 41 in Ft. Myers.
The quick-serve chain is focused on domestic expansion, specifically targeting college towns and campuses, and major cities. Since becoming franchise compliant in early 2016, #getfried has opened 11 units with three more in development. Besides its new Estero restaurant, #getfried Fry Café has locations in Buffalo, NY, Santa Clara, CA, San Antonio and Dallas, TX, Philadelphia, PA, and Dunedin, FL.
