GMA Completes Construction of Lee Health Facility

GMA Architects & Planners recently completed the Lee Health Medical Center at 13340 Metro Pkwy. in Fort Myers.
Summit Management Group developed the four-story, 41,432sf building, which Stevens Construction built in less than one year. It is fully occupied by practices affiliated with Lee Health. In addition to a ground-floor walk-in clinic providing urgent medical care seven days per week, there are medical offices for cardiology, infectious disease and pulmonology care practices on the upper floors.
GMA met individually with the office management team of each of the user groups, in addition to Lee Health facilities administration. “Care was taken to provide adequate exam, patient waiting and administrative space, while maintaining the highest levels of security and privacy,” said Ramon Acevedo, AIA, senior project architect. “Working as a team, we were able to address the office needs and relocation schedules of each practice, comply with the Lee Health system-wide facility standards and maintain the developer’s budget parameters.”
