Naples-based Barron Collier Companies has named Jack Cecil as the new chairman of its board of directors. Cecil replaces Barron Collier, III, who held the position since 2013.
According to company CEO Blake Gable, Cecil has served as an independent board member for the past five years, during which time he has provided invaluable insight. “We are glad to welcome him as the new chairman and look forward to his thoughtful, objective leadership in the years to come,” adds Gable.
Cecil is well acquainted with leading a family-owned business. Since 1992, he has been president and CEO of Biltmore Farms, LLC. Established in 1897, Biltmore Farms has developed an extensive portfolio of commercial and residential real estate projects. They include a regional shopping mall, a mixed-use urban village, master planned communities, corporate offices, hotels, apartments, medical office buildings and more than 1,000 homes.
