Lee & Associates Negotiates Trio of Significant Sales

Brokers with commercial real estate firm Lee & Associates|Naples-Ft. Myers, closed several multi-million dollar sales during the fourth quarter.
One of the best-known transactions involved the property formerly occupied by the News-Press in downtown Fort Myers. The City of Fort Myers purchased the 11.44-acre property at 2440 – 2442 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. for $8.9 million from 2442 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., LLC. The 169,240sf property consists of three buildings, which the city plans to renovate and use.
Lee & Associates’ Bob Johnston, SIOR, Jerry Messonnier, SIOR, Derek Bornhorst, SIOR, CCIM, Richard Clarke, and Rodney Fidler, CCIM, represented the seller and CBRE represented the buyer.
Also in Fort Myers:
• James F. Knott Development Corporation purchased 122.7 5+/- acres on I-75 and Terminal Access Road from Sara M. Rodriguez for $5.7 million. The property features 4,925 feet fronting I-75 and 1,343 feet fronting Terminal Access Road. Bob Johnston, SIOR, Jerry Messonnier, SIOR and Derek Bornhorst, SIOR, CCIM, negotiated both sides of the transaction.
• Terminal Access Park, LLC purchased 68± acres on Treeline Avenue and Terminal Access Road at 15220 Treeline Avenue South from Frank J. Aloia Sr. Trust + Patricia J. Rockwell Trust Et Al for $8 million. The property, with 2,270 feet fronting Treeline and 1,333 feet fronting Terminal Access Road, was purchased for development.
