Naples Dining Spot Celebrates 38 Years, Names New Executive Chef
M Waterfront Grille in Naples, led by brothers Chris and Peter Sereno, is celebrating 38 years of local ownership.
Restaurant co-owner Chris Sereno credits the restaurant’s longevity to its dedicated team, personal relationships and commitment to hospitality. Adam Balavender has led the restaurant’s daily operations as general manager since 2016.
To commemorate the restaurant’s anniversary, M Waterfront Grille has announced the promotion of longtime sous chef Jorge Peñalver to executive chef.
Peñalver studied at the Argentinian Institute of Gastronomy before his career brought him to Rhode Island, where he spent four seasons in the culinary scene. He then moved to Naples and has spent the past five years as M Waterfront Grille’s sous chef.
In his new role, Peñalver plans to honor the restaurant’s history and guests’ favorite dishes while introducing fresh ideas to the menu.
