O-A-K Announces, Staff Additions, Board Member Promotion

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) has hired Stephanie McPherson and Scott Schneider as project managers.
McPherson brings more than 23 years of related experience to O-A-K. Prior to joining the company, McPherson led her own architectural design firm and worked throughout Florida and South Carolina at Mustang Engineering, Florida Power & Light, BRPH, K4 Architecture and Reynolds Smith & Hills. She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from The Ohio State University and her master’s in architecture from the University of Miami.
Originally from Michigan, Schneider has more than 10 years of experience managing operations ranging from mechanical, electrical and plumbing to budgeting and capital improvements. Prior to joining O-A-K, Schneider held positions locally with Electronic System Services, Inc. and Ave Maria University, and in Michigan with Ford Motor Company and Capital Construction. He earned his associate’s degree from Washtenaw Community College and his journeyman industrial electrician certification from Henry Ford Community College in Michigan.
In other news, Mike Woods has been promoted to vice president of the civil division for O-A-K Florida, Inc.’s Board of Directors.
He has more than 30 years of experience working on road and site preparation projects in south Florida. He began his construction career at 16 and in 1979, started his own construction company, which focused on site preparation. He has also owned and managed his own underground utility company.
Woods has served as general superintendent for O-A-K since 2012 and as a member of its board of directors since 2015.
