Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) has broken ground on a Creative World School in Gateway at 11961 Fairway Lakes Drive in Fort Myers.

When it opens in January, the 13,000sf school will be able to accommodate up to 250 students. It will provide a preschool for ages three months through five years and a before- and after-school program for students ages six to 10 years. In addition to classrooms, the school will include a kitchen, offices and multiple outdoor play areas.

This is the third Creative World School franchise location for owners Amy and Chris O’Malley.

O-A-K is overseeing the school’s construction, led by project manager and superintendent Matt Hoffman. Other key team members include estimator Abel Natali, chief safety officer Matt Zwack, general superintendent Mike Woods and principal-in-charge Dave Dale. Michael Patterson of Architects Interiors, Inc. and AE Site are also working on the project.

O-A-K has provided general contracting, design-build and construction management services to commercial clients in Southwest Florida since 1982. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the company has offices in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties. For more information, please visit www.owenames- kimball.com.
