Peninsula Engineering has completed the initial phase of land development at Addison Place, a 21.8- acre mixed-use project on the north side of Immokalee Road, just west of Collier Boulevard in Naples. The firm is providing pre-development, design, permitting, construction and postconstruction services.
The project features four acres of commercial development and the Addison Place residential apartment community. When completed, the apartment complex will contain a total of 240 rental units with detached garages, a clubhouse with resort-style pool, a theater, gym rooms, a dog park and a playground area.
The community is now under construction, with the first residents expected to move in this fall. The clubhouse will be open for leasing in July. In other news, Peninsula Engineering has been chosen as the lead engineering firm for the new Shoppes at University Highlands in Estero.
The mixed-use retail and commercial project is situated on six acres fronting Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, near Florida Gulf Coast University. According to Dan Waters, Peninsula’s senior project manager, the Shoppes at University Highlands is designed to be pedestrian friendly and convenient to the residents of Tidewater, the Springs, Grandezza and all of Estero.
The initial phase will include a Chase Bank, Starbucks and Tide Dry Cleaners, along with a mix of other retail shops and restaurants. South Real Estate Group is developing and leasing the project.
Since its debut in 2011, Peninsula Engineering has provided civil engineering services for commercial and residential projects throughout Southwest Florida. In addition to planning, design, permitting and constructionphase services, the engineering firm is experienced in owner representation and construction management.
