Monica Schmucker has joined the Tort & Insurance Litigation Department of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. She is a former deputy attorney general in Indiana and brings her investigation experience to her litigation practice, assisting clients in the defense of negligence, personal injury, premises liability, vehicle negligence and wrongful death claims.
Originally from Miami, she is fluent in Spanish and a member of the Lee County Bar Association and Lee County Association for Women’s Lawyers. Also a member of the Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club Board of Directors and chair of the social committee, she received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University and her law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Geraldo F. (Jerry) Olivo, III has joined the Tort & Insurance Litigation Department.
With more than 80 trials in nearly every type of case, his trial experience is from both sides of the table — first as a prosecutor and then as a defense litigator representing clients in matters of creditor’s rights, criminal law, family law, general civil litigation, civil rights, employment law and education law. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified County Civil, Circuit Civil and Family Law Mediator and uses his expertise to serve as a mediator in family law and general civil litigation matters. Olivo is a member of the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools’ Golden Apple Selection Committee and serves on an allocation’s team for the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee. He was raised in Port Charlotte and received his BS from the University of Florida, a certificate from the National Sports Law Institute, and his law degree from Marquette University Law School. Michael Lehnert has become certified to close United States Small Business Administration (“SBA”) 504 Loans. Lehnert concentrates his practice exclusively in real estate, assisting property owners, lenders and builders with commercial and residential development. His experience includes representation of a multistate developer in the development, financing, leasing and sale of over 100 stores and representation of a lending institution in transactions totaling over $30 million in financing. Lehnert also contributes to the firm’s Legal Scoop on Southwest Florida Real Estate blog.
He serves on the Real Estate Investment Society Board of Governors, is vice president of the Southwest Florida Real Estate Council and is chairman of the Lee County Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Young Lawyers Division of the Lee County Bar Association.
