North American Properties – Southeast, Inc., has signed Publix to its newest shopping center, Sky Walk, now under development at the intersection of Daniels Parkway and Gateway Boulevard, across from the main entrance to Gateway in Fort Myers.
The center will be part of Skyplex, a 1,150-acre master-planned commercial park along Daniels Parkway, in the northern portion of S.W. Florida International Airport being developed by the Lee County Port Authority.
When completed, Sky Walk will feature a 45,000sf Publix supermarket with a drive-thru pharmacy, as well as an additional 20,000sf of retail space. This is the first new Publix store to be built in Lee County in more than five years.

The company expects to break ground later this year and complete construction during the second half of 2017.
