Renovations Underway at Promenade Plaza in Naples
SUITE TALK September 10, 2019 admin
Renovations are underway at Promenade Plaza shopping center at 1175- 1269 Airport-Pulling Road South in Naples, just north of Davis Boulevard and less than two miles east of downtown.
The improvements include the introduction of new architectural elements, new signage, upgraded landscaping and a new color scheme. When completed, the plaza’s exterior will be a buff yellow color and feature stone capped columns, island green corbels and shutters, and a metal roof.
Although the work won’t be finished until later this year, two new tenants have already signed for space. Pop’s Spot Grill now occupies the corner red food cart and Naples Ice Creamery soon will be open at the south end cap space. They join the plaza’s existing eateries, which include Rumba’s Cuban Café and Joe’s Diner. A single space of 2,800sf remains available for lease.
The plaza is owned by The Buck Companies, a St. Louis-based developer and property manager. Under the direction of Kenn Grasse, the company has been involved in the sale, acquisition and development of numerous investment properties, including office buildings and value-add commercial assets. It purchased the plaza approximately five years ago.
Since then, the surrounding neighborhood has seen significant development, including a new Porsche dealership at the northwest corner of Airport Road and Davis Boulevard. Besides its proximity to downtown Naples, the plaza is near The Collier County Government Center, to the south, and a concentration of businesses to the north.
