Sanibel Captiva Community Bank Announces Hires, Promotion

Glenda Afanador has joined Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as a deposit operations assistant at the bank’s Bridge Branch in Fort Myers. She is responsible for incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers, daily non-posted items, overdrafts, disputes and lending support for all bank locations, ensuring that proper policy and procedures are followed.
Afanador has over 15 years of banking experience at national, regional and community banks in Florida and Virginia. Her prior banking roles include bank processor, teller supervisor, administration support and deposit operations specialist.
Lisa Waskiewicz has joined the bank as its new human resources manager. In her role, she will oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, employee development, performance management and employee relations, ensuring that the bank continues to attract, develop and retain the best talent to support its growth and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Waskiewicz joins the bank with over 15 years of experience in human resources and has an extensive array of certifications and licenses, including SHRM-CP, public notary, and certified health benefits and retirement coordinator. These certifications underscore her deep expertise in key areas of human resources management, including employee relations, talent development and organizational effectiveness.
Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of senior credit analyst Rachel Flores to vice president. Located at the bank’s Bridge Branch, she will continue in her role analyzing financial statements, evaluating credit risk and recommending appropriate loan structures.
Flores joined the bank in July and has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial and residential underwriting and credit analysis. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor of science degree, double majoring in finance and financial services.
