Sanibel Captiva Community Bank’s former Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer David Carleton Hall, retired in March. With a distinguished career of more than 40 years in banking, and one of the area’s well-known community bankers, Hall began at the bank during its inception in 2001 and helped develop into the largest community bank in Southwest Florida. Under his leadership, the bank has more than $700 million in total assets, and achieved a return on equity that ranks within the top 60 banks nationwide.Hall will remain an active member of the bank’s board of directors to guide its future direction.

Following Hall’s retirement, John Wright has been appointed executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Wright joined the bank in April 2020 and spent the last year working closely with Hall to prepare for the position. Wright has more than 30 years of experience in community banking, and over his extensive banking career worked for several community banking institutions in Maryland.
