Seagate Begins Construction of Headquarters for Scotlynn USA

Seagate Development Group has begun on-site and off-site construc­tion of Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s North American corporate headquarters at 9597 Gulf Research Lane in Fort My­ers. Scotlynn is a multi-national transpor­tation and logistics firm specializing in truckload transportation and perishable product distribution. Its new headquar­ters will total 60,000sf in three stories.

The off-site work includes the exten­sion of Gulf Research Lane eastward and the installation of utilities. Seagate also has begun importing the fill needed to raise the road and start the road exten­sion. This phase of the eight-acre project will continue through project completion next summer. Also, Seagate has com­pleted extensive site work and is now on track for the tilting up of wall sections, followed by topping off the building.

With division offices in Tampa and Indianapolis, Scotlynn’s new headquar­ters will be occupied by 350 manage­ment and operations team members over the next three years. The facility will contain a gym, basketball court, cafeteria, walking track, and an indoor/ outdoor recreational space and eating area for employees.
