Sky Walk Shopping Center Takes Shape in Southeast Lee County

Construction of Sky Walk is well underway at the intersection of Daniels Parkway and Gateway Boulevard, across from the main entrance to Gateway in Fort Myers. North American Properties (NAP) is developing the Publix-anchored shopping center, which is expected to open in mid-2017.

When completed, Sky Walk will contain a 45,000sf Publix with a drive-thru pharmacy, as well as 20,000sf of additional retail space. It is the first development at Skyplex, the 1,150- acre master-planned commercial park being developed by the Lee County Port Authority on the north end of Southwest Florida International Airport.

Founded in 1954, NAP buys, develops and manages commercial properties across the U.S. Its southeast Florida division has developed more than one million sf of retail space in Lee County alone, including multiple Publix and Target locations, as well as a BJ’s Wholesale Club.
