

Owen-Ames-Kimball (O-A-K) Florida Division, an employee-owned construction firm serving Southwest Florida since 1982, has announced a leadership transition to support continued growth.
Jim Hopper has been named president of the Florida Division. He joined O-A-K in 2025 as regional vice president and succeeds Matthew Zwack, who served as president since 2020. Zwack will move into the role of senior director of client relations, continuing to support client relationships and community partnerships.
Hopper brings more than 30 years of construction industry experience, including leadership roles with major general contractors and ownership of his own firm. His background includes preconstruction and project execution oversight with a focus on quality and accountability.
Since 2024, O-A-K’s Florida Division has doubled in size and is on track for its largest year in 2026. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with Florida offices in Collier and Lee counties, O-A-K has delivered $3.2 billion in projects over the past decade. The company employs more than 290 employee-owners worldwide, including 85 in Florida.
