Stevens Construction Completes Vet Clinic in Fort Myers
Stevens Construction has completed construction of a new 10,000sf veterinary clinic for the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers that serves as a critical resource for wellness services, spay/neuter surgeries, dental care and medical treatment for pet owners as well as shelter pets that require medical care before they can be adopted.
Equipped with the latest veterinary technology, the medical center houses eight exam rooms and dedicated areas for veterinary specialists, surgical procedures and more. To meet the rising demand for care, the expansion doubles the organization’s capacity to serve pets in need. By bringing advanced veterinary care in-house, Gulf Coast Humane Society can treat pets with complex medical needs without referring them to outside specialists, ensuring continuity of care, reduced stress for pets and improved recovery times for shelter animals.
The clinic increases the organization’s ability to support rescue partners across Florida that lack the resources to provide medical care before placing animals for adoption. Additionally, it serves as a training hub for future veterinary professionals, equipping the next generation with skills to excel in animal welfare and community veterinary care while attracting top veterinary talent to the region.
With offices in Fort Myers and Orlando, Stevens Construction provides construction management, general contracting and consulting services to clients and design professionals. Other services include site and design team selection, budgeting, project scheduling, permitting, cost and quality control and warranty service.
