Stevens Construction Named Contractor of the Year

Stevens Construction, Inc. earned four awards at the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA ) Industry Awards event in November, including top honors as Contractor of the Year for the seventh time. A panel of nationwide judges based their decision on criteria such as the company’s achievement of goals, client relations, professional certifications and community responsibilities.

Pursuing larger projects and diversifying project type were among Stevens Construction’s goals for 2016. That year, the company completed The Cottage at Cypress Cove, a 45,000sf memory care facility at HealthPark Florida and diversified project type to 59 percent health care and 41 percent commercial. Further, within five years, the company increased gross revenue by 190 percent.

Stevens Construction also received Summit Awards for:
• Best restaurant project $0-$1.9M+ for The French in Naples;
• Best clubhouse $2M-$4.9M for the Sanctuary Golf Club on Sanibel;
• Best health care facility $5M-$8M for The Cottage at Cypress Cove.
