In early June, Stevens Construction and subcontractor Honc Destruction began demolishing the 127,000sf Atrium building at 8695 College Parkway in Fort Myers to make way for FineMark National Bank & Trust’s new headquarters. Plans call for a three-story building totaling approximately 60,000sf.
At press time, Fine- Mark was in the final design stage with Studio+ Architects, with Stevens Construction providing recommendations, constructability reviews, and budget estimating to ensure the project is completed on budget and on schedule.
Complete demolition will take approximately 45 days, and Honc Destruction aims to recycle 90 percent of the materials. Construction of the new building is scheduled to begin in August with completion in the fall of 2020.
