Talmage Joins Lee EDO

John Talmage has been named director of the Lee County Economic Development Office (EDO). Pamela Johnson, who had been acting director, has assumed new roles and responsibilities as deputy director of the EDO, Lee County Sports Development and the Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB).

Talmage has spent his career working in economic development for municipal governments and research organizations. He also served as CEO of Social Compact, a research organization serving the federal regulatory community, cities around the country and community development organizations.

In New Orleans, he was the deputy director for economic development. Prior to that, Talmage worked in New York City, focusing on the economic development issues of communities in north Brooklyn.
