Wright Construction Group, Inc. has completed construction of the Northeast Recycle Drop-Off Center at 825 39th Avenue N.E. in Naples. It is the fifth and largest local recycling center the county has constructed.
Built on a 14-acre site, the 31,107sf state-of-the-art facility features: truck scales and special containment rooms for compliant handling of hazardous waste; blast-resistant doors; and high strength industrial coatings throughout. Its modern architectural design is reflected in the long span steel beams that were incorporated to accommodate the open-air structure. The $7.3 million-plus project also included construction of scale and water treatment buildings.
In an effort to prevent illegal dumping of hazardous materials, the drop-off center provides residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of motor oil, tires, paint, antifreeze, appliances, electronics, household chemicals, and numerous other items. The facility is projected to assist 11,000 customers and process an estimated 350,000 pounds of hazardous waste and recyclables this year. The drop-off center is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
