Wright Construction Group has completed Cape Coral Fire Department Station #2 at 521 Nicholas Parkway. It is the second of the city’s 11 stations built by Wright, and replaces the original, outdated facility built almost 50 years ago.
Completed under budget and on schedule, the $4 million project included the addition of an apparatus bay and more than 900sf of ductile iron water main to feed the new facility as well as existing, nearby homes.
Design features include low-maintenance polished concrete apparatus bays and epoxy floor coatings. Totaling 10,559sf, the facility has three equipment bays and sleeping quarters for eight. Designated a Level E essential facility, it will be available as a hardened structure in an emergency.
