KOVA Companies Announces New Hires

KOVA Companies has hired Gayle Erickson-Ash and Karla Thurkettle as property managers for KOVA Property Management, and Keith Marvelle as manager of KOVA Facilities.

Erickson-Ash recently relocated to Southwest Florida from Colorado, and has more than 28 years of experience in commercial property management and construction management for office, retail, industrial and medical properties. She received a bachelor’s degree in business management from The University of Phoenix, holds a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation and is also a LEED Green Associate.

In 2005, Erickson-Ash received the Building Owners and Managers Association TOBY award for “Building of the Year” for Corporate Facility Management Excellence on the local, regional and international levels.

Thurkettle is a native of Long Island, New York, and a graduate of Stony Brook University. After almost 10 years working as a credit buyer and analyst, she relocated to Florida in 2003 and is a state-licensed CAM.

Prior to joining KOVA Companies, Thurkettle managed a portfolio of 14 condominiums, HOAs and a marina for one of Southwest Florida’s largest residential management firms. Currently, she manages more than 42,000sf of commercial property and 11 condominium associations in Naples.

As manager of KOVA Facilities, Marvelle will work closely with the property management team on maintenance issues and service requests. He will also oversee the facilities staff and all construction projects. He relocated to Naples 16 years ago from Rhode Island, and has a background in residential remodeling, real estate sales and project management.
