Groom Construction Delivers Two Major Retail Build-Outs in Florida

Groom Construction has completed two significant retail projects in Florida, delivering full renovations and brandcompliant build-outs for Golf Galaxy in Ocala and Marshalls in Pompano Beach.

The Golf Galaxy renovation covered a 22-week transformation of a 20,000sf store, including a new façade and entrance, complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing replacements, upgraded lighting, new HVAC systems, a new fire sprinkler system and full interior updates. The project also added five fully equipped golf simulation bays along with modernized restrooms, a new breakroom and refreshed sales-floor finishes.

The Marshalls tenant fit-out, which opened on Nov 20, included new offices, fitting rooms, ADA-compliant restrooms, updated flooring and ceilings, and a full fixturing package. Mechanical enhancements featured eight new rooftop HVAC units and upgraded lighting. Exterior work included an expanded 40- foot storefront, structural improvements, EIFS repairs, sidewalk restoration and new signage.
