

HM Restaurant Group, which manages Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, Dixie Fish Company and Bonita Fish Company, recently supported Captains for Clean Water as the Caloosahatchee sponsor of the nonprofit’s Restore Gala in February, celebrating the organization’s 10-year anniversary. The restaurant group donated $6,000 to the event.
The restaurant group also recently donated $7,725 to Captains for Clean Water in honor of Storm Smart. In addition, the company’s Send It South cocktail fundraiser launched in April 2024 donates $1 from every drink sold at Doc Ford’s locations and Dixie Fish Company, raising a cumulative $11,072 to date.
Founded in 2016, Captains for Clean Water is a grassroots organization focused on science-based solutions, education and citizen engagement to improve water quality and restore the Everglades. More information is available at CaptainsForCleanWater.org.
