Local Electric Co-op Welcomes HR Director

Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) has appointed Charmaine Smith as director of human resources.

Smith brings leadership experience in the utility, technology, manufacturing and global business sectors. Most recently, she served as director of human resources for Orlando Utilities Commission, overseeing compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR systems and workforce strategy.

In her new role, Smith will help strengthen employee engagement, talent development and long-term workforce planning at LCEC.
