Stevens Construction has been selected as the construction manager for an expansion project at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida at 1495 Smith Preserve Way in Naples. The Conservancy is dedicated to protecting Southwest Florida’s water, land, wildlife and future.
The project includes construction of an outdoor wildlife rehabilitation area at the Conservancy’s von Arx Wildlife Hospital. It will allow the organization to enhance its care of wildlife with the goal of rehabilitating animals and returning them to the wild.
The expansion will also feature a new educational complex that will allow visitors to view the Conservancy’s permanent resident animals that can’t be released due to their extensive injuries. Visitors will learn about the threats to native wildlife and what can be done to protect and prevent wildlife injuries.
Dan Adams is serving as project manager. The superintendent is Will Houser and April Kelley is project administrator. GLMV Architecture provided the design services.
The project is slated for completion in the spring.
