Gates Construction recently completed construction of The Askar Center of Bonita Springs. The retail center is situated on a one-acre site at 28245 Tamiami Trail South, adjacent to Springs Plaza. Askar Propertites is the developer.
The project entailed demolition of a former Pizza Hut and construction of 7,500sf of retail space. The new center accommodates five storefronts and provides approximately 250 feet of frontage on Tamiami Trail. Art Concepts, Inc. provided architectural design services.
Gates also built out the interior for one of the center’s tenants, Blackjack Pizza & Salads. It is one of 42 locations for the pizzeria, which was founded in Colorado in 1983 and acquired by Askar Brands in 2012.
