B&I Contractors Awarded Contract at FGCU

B&I Contractors, was recently awarded the HVAC contract for the new Academic Building #9 project at Florida Gulf Coast University. Awarded by Manhattan Construction the contract includes the installation of one mile of underground chilled water piping to tie the new building to the campus central energy plant. Work began this summer, with expected completion by the end of next year.
When completed, the four-story 116,000sf building will be the home for the Water School. The aptly named school is focused on studying and finding solutions to the issues associated with Florida’s waters as well as their impact on the environment and economy.
