GCM Contracting Solutions completed erecting the concrete panels for Physicians Regional Building at 6376 Pine Ridge Road in Naples. The project, a four-story medical office building, awarded by EMJ Construction, broke ground in early June 2020 and is expected to be completed this year. As the tilt-up subcontractor, GCM partnered with EMJ and DCS Design to deliver a structure that is not only visually appealing but that offers superior storm protection, built-in fire resistance, and sound attenuation.
Each of the building’s 46 exterior concrete panels was poured and raised on site, reinforced with 402,000 pounds of steel. Because of its size and height, the panels were some of GCM’s tallest and heaviest to date. With the tallest panel exceeding 71 feet and the heaviest board weighing 280,000 pounds, there was minimal error margin.
Physicians Regional Building is located east of I-75 exit 107, between Livingston Road and Collier Boulevard, northeast of Golden Gate. This fourstory, 106,080sf facility will primarily function as office space for multiple medical companies but could also double as laboratories and exam rooms. Construction is expected to be completed this year.
