PBS Contractors and Michael Wynn’s executive team and family of Sunshine Ace Hardware broke ground on a new 20,455sf store at Founders Square in Naples.
The new store will feature commercial paint, grilling and fishing departments, as well as a wide selection of power and hand tools, hardware, lawn and garden supplies, plumbing fixtures, outdoor living accessories, gifts and supplies for DIYers. It will be PBS’ second ground-up construction for Sunshine Ace in addition to multiple renovation projects at existing stores. The new Naples store will be backed up by a 58K propane generator, allowing Sunshine Ace to continue operating after a tropical storm or hurricane.
Family-owned and operated since 1958, Sunshine Ace has nine locations in Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Pinellas counties, as well as two Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores in Manatee County. The North Naples store will be its fifth location in Collier County and 12th overall. Construction is expected to be complete in January 2023.
