Wright Construction Group, Inc. has started construction to rehabilitate Runway 4-22 at Punta Gorda Airport in Charlotte County.
The project includes the reconstruction of the 7,000-foot main line runway, along with new blast pads to prevent future erosion and energy-efficient lighting. Phase two of the project will include the rehabilitation of wetlands within the airport limits to improve the environment for native wildlife.

The project is slated for completion before the end of year.
