Bev Larson, CCIM, a Florida CCIM Chapter Southwest District past president and education chair, received an Exceptional Leadership award during the Southwest District’s 19th Annual Commercial Real Estate Outlook Conference earlier this year.
Ron Struthers, CCIM, the current Southwest District president, presented the award to Larson for her “outstanding dedication and exceptional commitment” to the Florida CCIM Chapter and Southwest Florida District. “(Bev) has been instrumental in helping the chapter and district meet their goals,” said Struthers.
Over the years, Larson has been involved in various leadership roles within the organization, both statewide and locally. “I am honored to be recognized by an organization that means so much to me and that plays such an important role in the commercial real estate industry,” said Larson.
A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designee for many years, Larson was twice elected as president of the Southwest District. During her tenure, the district won two prestigious District of the Year awards. As education chair, she has worked diligently to coordinate and promote educational classes, seminars and workshops for those interested in pursuing the CCIM designation. She also works tirelessly to expand opportunities for FGCU students.
Increasing commercial education and networking opportunities for members as well as non-members has been a primary focus of Larson’s over the years, resulting in successful partnerships with numerous local organizations. They include the Horizon Council, Lee County Economic Development, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW | Naples-Ft. Myers), Real Estate Investment Society (REIS), Lutgert College of Business at FGCU, Building Industry Association (BIA), Realtors Land Institute (RLI Florida Chapter), Naples Area Board of Realtors, Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association and the Southwest Florida Commercial Alliance.
