GCG Construction, Inc. has begun construction of HaVen Fort Myers, a state-of-the-art restaurant and lounge at Fort Myers’ Bell Tower Shops. The 14,000sf facility is being custom-designed, technologically engineered and fabricated from the ground up on the former Taste of New York site. GCG is building additional outdoor dining space on the ground floor and adding a rooftop lounge.
When completed, the restaurant will contain a total of five bars and feature live entertainment nightly. Also in Fort Myers, GCG has been chosen as the design-build general contractor for a south Fort Myers marina project. Recently, GCG broke ground on a boat service facility at MarineMax at Deep Lagoon, the only on-water full-service marina in Fort Myers.
The 15+ acre site is at 14030 McGregor Boulevard, where GCG is also working on MarineMax’s new sales office and other site improvements. Previously, GCG completed an expansive renovation project for MarineMax in Naples and is now working on its other facilities in Sarasota and Venice.
In community news, GCG was the Hospitality Sponsor for the Ballpark PopUp at JetBlue Park on April 4th. The Womens’s Foundation of SWFL hosted the event, which awarded a $5,800 PopUp Grant to Habitat For Humanity’s Women Build program. This year, Women Build will help provide homes for two local families. Based in Estero, GCG has provided award-winning, turn-key commercial construction services since 2000.
