Marine Arts Gallery recently opened in Bonita Springs at the Promenade at Bonita Bay.

In addition to 19th-century marine paintings, the gallery carries still life, floral work and contemporary pieces from marine artists whose work has been displayed nationwide.

The gallery also provides services including framing, restoration, appraisals, discreet purchases, shipping, and in-store and in-home consultations for painting selection and placement.

Marine Arts Gallery was established by Russell Kiernan in Salem, Massachusetts in 1968. Since then, what began as a premier collection of the country’s finest contemporary artists has evolved into the oldest gallery of marine-exclusive paintings in the U.S. Featured artists include Richard Loud, John Stobart, Terry Bailey, Dusan Kadlec, Ronalee Crocker, Marina Dieul, Shane Couch, Robert Bolster, Jack Saylor, Cindy House, Jim Plesh, Emile Gruppe, Jack Gray and A.E. Backus (1906-1990).

Now, Peter Kiernan will run the gallery exclusively from the Promenade.

“This location allows us to better serve customers coming from both Lee and Collier counties who enjoy the undeniable value of precious art,” Kiernan said. He adds that the upscale retail center is “the ideal home for this generational operation, especially as families from all over continue to move to the Gulf coast.”

Marine Arts Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. (8 p.m. starting in mid-October), and on Sunday by appointment. For more information, please visit MarineArtsGallery. com, email MarineArts@ aol.com or call 239-261-0000.
